REACH: EU’s new chemicals regulation – one of the key areas of LMR
The new European REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) affects and obliges numerous parties: chemicals manufacturers, importers and downstream users. The LMR REACH Team, led by partner Jukka Luostarinen, has followed the development of the regulation/regulatory work since the very beginning. Our REACH Team has increasingly given presentations in various events and seminars, including in the Chemical Industry Federation of Finland, concerning the legal aspects of the REACH regulation, such as the relation between the obligatory substance information exchange and the requirements of competition law. Given not only LMR’s convenient location literally just a couple of blocks from ECHA, the European Chemicals Agency, entrusted with the EU-wide enforcement powers of REACH, but also and more importantly our in-depth knowledge of REACH, the LMR REACH Team finds itself particularly suited for your needs. We warmly welcome you to contact us with any questions you have on REACH.
