LITIGATION AND ARBITRATION

Nowadays both large group of companies and small to medium-sized enterprises are involved in litigation and arbitration proceedings with increasing frequency. LMR has first hand experience in demanding litigation and arbitration processes – having handled hundreds of cases. We evaluate the judicial position of the client as early as possible so that we can help the client decide on whether to continue with the proceeding or try to settle it. This is where our extensive experience in evaluating evidence and witnesses is particularly helpful.

We have considerable experience in representing companies and communities in numerous Finnish courts and in several arbitration proceedings both in Finland and abroad. In addition, we act as arbitrators in disputes e.g. related to breaches of contract, squeeze-out proceedings in connection with public company takeovers etc.

Our assignments have concerned for example various kinds of disputes on contract interpretation, compensations for loss suffered, intellectual property rights, alleged economic crimes and other corporate matters . We have conducted proceedings both in Finnish and in English.
